Ibrahimovic defeats the injury and returns to the Milan squad

Veteran Swedish star Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who has been out of action for seven weeks due to injury, returns to his Milan squad in Saturday's match against Turin in the seventeenth stage of the Italian Football League.

Ibrahimovic missed the last eight matches of the Lombard team due to a muscle injury suffered on November 22 in the match against Napoli (3-1), and then during training he suffered a new calf injury that postponed his return to the stadiums.

Ibrahimovic's recall comes as a surprise as coach Stefano Pioli hinted earlier this week that his 39-year-old star would return against Cagliari in the match scheduled for January 18th.

Milan are at the top of the standings with 37 points, one point behind their neighbors Inter, as they lost their first game of the season on Wednesday against defending champions Juventus in the previous nine seasons 1-3 at home in San Siro.

Despite playing only six matches this season out of 16, "Ibra" has scored ten goals.

Milan suffers from several injuries in its ranks, as Turkish playmaker Hakan Jalhanoglu is absent due to an ankle injury he suffered during his participation against Juventus.

The absence of Matteo Gabia, the Algerian Ismail Bennasser and the Belgian Alexis Salimirkz will continue to be absent due to injury, while the Croatian "Covid-19" will prevent Ante Rebic and Bosnian Radi Kronich from participating in the second match, respectively.

Milan meet twice with Turin at the San Siro stadium, the first on Saturday in the domestic championship and the second on Tuesday evening in the 16th round of the Italian Cup.
