Many no longer thought it possible, but it happened: FC Schalke 04 won a game in the Bundesliga.

The Royal Blues defeated TSG Hoffenheim 4-0 and ended a scary series.

Schalke had previously been without a win for 30 games in a row.

The most acclaimed man of the day was Matthew Hoppe.

The striker scored the first three goals for Schalke.

With his three-pack, the 19-year-old released the club and its fans.

The Royal Blues celebrated their last victory on January 17, 2020 (2-0 against Borussia Mönchengladbach).

The fourth goal was scored by Amine Harit, who previously had all of Hoppe's goals.

Thanks to the victory, Schalke is spared an embarrassment.

Had the team not won, they would have set the record of Tasmania Berlin, which had 31 games in a row in the 1965/66 season without a win.
