Luvo Manyonga has missed three doping tests within a year and now he is suspended during the investigation, the Athletics Doping Unit, AIU, announces.

If the 30-year-old is convicted of doping offenses, it could mean up to two years of suspension, which would mean that he will miss the Olympics in Tokyo this summer.

Manyonga, who has returned to athletics from a drug addiction, has previously said that he did not train in a year when he broke with his agent.

- I do not train and I do not know which way I should take forward because I do everything myself and try to work with my problems, he said in December according to the news agency AP.

Luvo Manyonga was previously suspended for 18 months after passing a positive drug test.

He did not compete at all between 2012 and 2014 when he rehabilitated.

During the Olympics in Rio 2016, Luvo Manyonga took silver, the following year he won World Cup gold in London.
