• Poll - Choose your favorite from the finalists

  • Prize: The Peugeot 208, winner of the 2020 edition

They are seven chosen and only one can remain.

The election to the Car of the Year in Europe, a

prize that has been awarded since 1964, enters its final stretch

with the candidates from the so-called 'short list', selected from a first group of 29 cars.

Vote here to choose your favorite

.

The winner will be known on

March 1 and will come out of a shortlist that includes cars of all types and technologies,

with electrification present in all of them and taken to its maximum expression in the case of the Fiat 500 and the Volkswagen ID.3.

Unlike other years, in this edition there is no excessively expensive or elitist model and

the emergence of the Cupra Formentor stands out, the first model 100% owned by the young Spanish brand.

The jury, which last year chose the Peugeot 208, is made up of 60 journalists from 23 countries.

Of them, six Spaniards and one, on behalf of Unidad Editorial / El Mundo.

Each one must distribute 25 points, with a maximum score for their favorite of 10 points and they can also assign zeros.

In any case, each vote must be reasoned, taking into account different criteria, among which innovation at affordable prices stands out.

Unlike other awards in the motor world, in this one there are no categories: there can only be one winner.
