- It feels absolutely fantastic to take a podium tonight.

Today everything was sitting and that at the same time as the level of the competition was absolutely incredible.

I have never seen anything like it and to then be at the top feels almost unreal, says Oliwer Magnusson to the Swedish Ski Association.

The Swede set two fine tricks and got 189.20 points, barely behind runner-up Antoine Adelisse.

Norwegian Birk Ruud, who won the X-Games a couple of times, won the competition at 193.20 after being first in both jumps (they had the chance to make three).

Magnusson was third and fourth in his two approved jumps.

Far behind Magnusson we find more famous Swedish names like Henrik Harlaut and Oscar Wester who were 14th and 15th.

High level of competition

It was extra important for Magnusson to succeed so well because the qualification for the Olympics in Beijing 2022 begins this week.

That nine out of ten participants had over 180 points in the final shows a very high level.

- Oliwer is a perfectionist and he has now learned tricks like no other, I can be incredibly impressed by his will and mindset, Niklas Eriksson, the national captain of the freeski national team.

It was a long-awaited competition for all participants as it was the premiere for the discipline in the World Cup this corona season.
