The holding of the test was still subject to health decisions.

Finally, the Covid-19 crisis got the better of the 2021 edition of the Enduropale du Touquet, in Pas-de-Calais.

Originally scheduled from January 22 to 24, the famous motocross race was canceled by the organizers, we learned on Thursday.

Disrupted registrations of pilots

"The very high level of contamination, the international situation and the mobilization of public services as part of the vaccine strategy prevent us from organizing this edition in good conditions," said the organization, in a press release.

Especially since "current and future traffic restrictions greatly complicate the registration of many amateur and professional pilots".

Despite all our efforts, we regret to announce the decision taken in consultation by the prefectural authorities and the municipality of Touquet-Paris-Plage to cancel the holding of the 46th Enduropale du Touquet Pas-de-Calais

Another reason that led to the cancellation of the event: the postponement of the reopening of the restaurants, which did not allow the competitors and the organization teams to be accommodated in good conditions.

The 46th edition of the Enduropale du Touquet is therefore scheduled for January 2022.
