In response to the state of emergency, the National Training Center and other bases for strengthening athletes for the Olympics and Paralympics in Tokyo are being considered in the direction of requiring visitors to perform inspections such as PCR without closing the facilities. Was found by interviewing multiple parties.

The National Training Center and the Japan Institute of Sports Sciences in Kita-ku, Tokyo are bases for strengthening athletes for the Olympics and Paralympics, and the facilities were closed for more than a month and a half when the last state of emergency was declared.

After that, when resuming, as an infection prevention measure, we requested tests such as PCR at the time of admission, but we did not require it.

In response to the government's declaration of emergency in 1 metropolitan area and 3 prefectures including Tokyo, the JSC = Japan Sport Council and the JOC = Japanese Olympic Committee, which manage the facilities, have decided not to close the facilities. I found out through interviews with multiple parties.

On top of that, it is said that it is considering introducing the mandatory inspection of visitors, which has been considered so far, as it is necessary to strengthen infection control measures ahead of schedule.

It is almost half a year before the opening of the Tokyo Olympics, and given that the state of emergency will be declared in a limited and intensive manner, it seems that the decision will be made in consideration of both continuing to strengthen athletes and preventing the spread of infection.

According to the people concerned, JSC and JOC are making adjustments such as specific inspection systems and methods.
