It was the worst fall in cycling last year: The Dutch professional Fabio Jakobsen (24) was on August 5, 2020 at the first stage of the Tour of Poland in Katowice by his competitor and compatriot Dylan Groenewegen (27) in the sprint at 80 km / h pressed over the barricade.

Jakobsen was in a coma for two days, doctors and family feared for the young athlete's life.

In fact, all facial bones including the roof of the mouth broke in the fall.

His face was downright destroyed, and facial reconstruction is currently underway.

Jakobsen has not seen any photos since then.

Until now.
