Yesterday, it was officially announced the launch of the activities of the "Knights of Hispania" club, and its participation in the second division matches organized by the UAE Football Association.

The new club, which was founded by former Spanish club Real Madrid star, Michel Salgado, in partnership with local parties in Dubai, includes players from the UAE, Lebanon, Morocco, Spain, Sudan and Nigeria.

The club's board chairman, Faisal Belhoul, said during a press conference that the idea of ​​establishing this club is based on providing young players of different nationalities with the opportunity to achieve their dreams and develop their skills in a professional manner within the country.

He said the idea arose through the academy that Salgado and his team founded in Dubai Sports City.

He explained: “After seven years of continuous development and work at the Academy, Salgado decided to launch a new project in partnership with us to establish an integrated football club that participates in local official competitions in the country, and we have already succeeded in finding sponsors for the team, in a way that achieves the strategic goals set for the club, By contributing to the development of local football and applying investment thinking in managing such mega projects.

Regarding choosing the name, he said: "The club's logo symbolizes the noble Arab knight, integrated with the developed Spanish thought in football."

For his part, Salgado said that he is happy that the dream has turned into reality, adding: “We have players from more than 30 nationalities in the academy, united by one bond which is the love of football, and includes players from the UAE, Lebanon, Morocco, Spain, Sudan and Nigeria, they really are wonderfull collection".
