His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, yesterday, at the Beach Palace, Gianni Infantino, President of the International Football Association (FIFA).

His Highness welcomed the president of FIFA in the UAE, wishing him success in his visit.

During the meeting, the two sides discussed joint cooperation and coordination between the concerned sports authorities in the country and FIFA, in a way that promotes and advances the Emirati football sport, in addition to its role in consolidating the values ​​of tolerance, cooperation and acquaintance between peoples as a language of peace, love and global communication.

His Highness and Gianni Infantino touched on the most important challenges and difficulties faced by the continuity of regional and international sports competitions and tournaments during the year 2020 in light of the Corona pandemic.

The FIFA President appreciated the UAE’s keenness to continue hosting the most prominent international sporting forums and platforms, which bring together sports stars, fans and stakeholders from different countries of the world, to discuss ways to develop sport in all its aspects by listening to different experiences and offering creative solutions and ideas and ways to apply and benefit from them.

The meeting was attended by His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Tahnoun Al Nahyan, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Abu Dhabi Airports, Sheikh Rashid bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, President of the Football Association, Chairman of the Executive Affairs Authority, Member of the Executive Council Khaldoun Al Mubarak, and the Undersecretary of Diwan Wali The era of Abu Dhabi, Muhammad Al Mazrouei.
