He told "Emirates Today": "The level of the teams participating in the Sharjah Winter Championship reflected the extent of the development of the smart game in Sharjah, and their participation in such tournaments and sporting and community events was not strange, within the framework of the Supreme Directives to pay attention to games that develop the minds of players and players."

He pointed out: "The camp contained many chess training programs, with two classes per day, with the participation of 80 male and female players. The club's technical committee also organized, over a period of two weeks, the International Rapid Chess Team Championship, with the participation of 49 players."

At the end of last week, the curtain fell on the winter camp, which was organized by the Sharjah Cultural Chess Club, during the period from December 12 to December 30, 2020, with the participation of 10 clubs.

The closing ceremony, which was held at the Sharjah Cultural Chess Club, was witnessed by Sheikh Saud bin Abdulaziz, President of the Arab Federation and Chairman of the Sharjah Cultural Chess Club, and Chairman of the Sharjah Sports Council, Issa Hilal Al-Hazami. The Kalba Federation Club achieved the first and third places, while the Sharjah Girls Chess and Culture Club achieved the center. Second, the players who won the first places in each club were honored, with the prize money allocated to the tournament amounting to 13 thousand dirhams for the teams winning the first 10 places, in addition to special prizes for the best player from each participating club.
