　　At the beginning of the drawing, Lin Cunzhen, a senior expert from the Cultural Activities Department of the Beijing Winter Olympics Organizing Committee, asked the designers to complete 100 drawings every day, one movement for each movement.

With the ingenuity of the artists, he brought 30 vivid "Little Red Men" to the world.

　　At the beginning of May 2020, the design team started the creation of sports icons.

The original creative plan has "nearly 20 directions", and paper-cutting and shadow puppetry are among the alternatives.

After communication and discussion among the organizing committee, designers, and experts, the direction of the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics sports icon was finally established: text.

　　When he first sketched, Lin Cunzhen asked the designer: Everyone must complete 100 sketches every day, one movement for each exercise.

"If you change another action of the same project, you will have another 100 hand-drawn drafts." Lin Cunzhen said, "A little change will affect the entire graphic."

　　Lin Cunzhen believes in "feeling", real hands, paper and eyes produce real interaction.

From the design draft to the seal engraving, it straddles the two art forms. Lin Cunzhen frankly said, "It's difficult." For example, the figure skating icon, the determined action is to stand on the ground with one leg, lift the other leg by hand, and draw the upper leg. Create a beautiful arc.

How to deal with this arc is a difficult problem for designers.

　　In repeated and meticulous crafting, each revision of the draft will lead to the result of a seal. Except for the computer fine-tuning of non-critical details, every icon is actually engraved many times.

It is the ingenuity of this craftsman who is carrying the Olympic Games ship, slowly sailing to the world and the future.
