It was unlucky and goalless in the first 45 minutes between Everton and West Ham at Goodison Park.

The second half of the match did not get much better.

But the hottest chances still created West Ham.

Decided late

And with five minutes left, the only goal of the match came.

Czech Tomas Soucek stayed ahead and pushed the ball into goal, after two West Ham finishes against goal in the same attack.

Definitely a relief for coach David Moyes.

The victory was Moyes' first at Goodison Park since leaving his coaching job at Everton in 2013.

Despite several attempts with both Manchester United, Sunderland and now West Ham, he had to wait for almost eight years.

The victory meant that West Ham consolidated tenth place in the table, and now has only three points up to fifth place in a limping table.
