Bernard Guignedoux, former PSG player, died at the age of 73.

He was the first goalscorer for the capital club in 1970. He had subsequently evolved in Monaco, trained at RC Strasbourg as an assistant and held various positions in training.

First scorer in the history of Paris Saint-Germain, Bernard Guignedoux died at the age of 73, the Parisian club announced on Friday.

"We mourn the disappearance this morning of the first scorer in the history of the club, Mr. Bernard Guignedoux," PSG posted on his Twitter account.

"All thoughts of Paris Saint-Germain are with his family and loved ones," the club said.

Midfielder, Bernard Guignedoux played as a player at PSG between 1970 and 1972. On August 23, 1970, it was he who scored the first goal in the history of the Parisian club, which then played in the National championship, antechamber of the first professional division, during a disputed meeting on the ground of the Poitevin stadium.

After playing for Paris FC and AS Monaco and then hanging up his boots, he worked as a trainer at the Paris Saint-Germain training center from 1981 to 2003. Bernard Guignedoux was subsequently assistant trainer at RC Strasbourg (2003 -2005) and Valenciennes FC (2005-2009) alongside Antoine Kombouaré.
