Coutinho's injury threatens Liverpool with a huge financial loss
Barcelona player, Brazilian Philippe Coutinho suffered a severe left knee injury in the La Liga match, last Tuesday, to decide to undergo surgery that will keep him out of action for months.
And if the shock was severe in Barcelona, it resonated with Liverpool, where this would mean an expected loss for the English club, equivalent to 20 million euros.
The newspaper "AS" said that Coutinho's contract stipulates paying 20 million euros in the event that he completes 100 matches with Barcelona, and even Eibar played 90 games only.
Coutinho needs ten more matches in order for Liverpool to benefit from the reward, as Coutinho had signed a contract from Liverpool for 120 million euros plus 40 million other incentives and bonuses, most notably twenty million if he completed the 100 matches.
