The Norwegians have jumped off and then the whole podium disappeared from the sprint cup last season and four of the top seven in the distance cup.
Last year, Norwegian skiers finished third, fourth, fifth and sixth in the Tour de Ski.
This opens up for better Swedish investments in the 2021 edition.
Last year, Jens Burman was twelfth (he is not included this year) and Calle Halfvarsson 15th.
- I hope to be able to fight for a place in the top five, says Halfvarsson to SVT Sport and adds a necessary guard:

William Poromaa has opened the season best of the Swedish men but is lower in terms of results than Halfvarsson.
- I know what I can do and I am confident in it.
I really hope for a top ten position and that it responds well, says debutant Poromaa.
