Saudi conquest asks foreign referees for its match in front of cooperation

Today, Wednesday, a news report revealed that the Saudi Al-Fateh club had requested foreign referees to manage the first-team football match against Al-Taawon within the thirteenth stage of the Prince Mohammed bin Salman Cup League (Saudi Professional League).

The Saudi Al-Riyadiah newspaper reported that official sources at Al-Fateh Club revealed to her that the club’s management had submitted an official request to appoint foreign referees for the match scheduled for next January 14, after the administration paid 175,000 riyals, the application fee.

The sources indicated that the Al-Fateh administration would have requested foreign referees in the Damak and Al-Wahda matches in the eleventh and twelfth rounds of the league, but the requirement of the request 16 days before the match prevented this from being completed.

The sources added that the club's management monitored five matches, which witnessed influential arbitration errors, which resulted in a complaint against the referees of the Al-Ahly match, before the last, to the Football Association, and also called on the referees of an elite Saudi to lead the team’s matches, and not to assign “first-class” referees.

The match between Al-Fateh and Al-Taawon is the second match in the league this season to witness the request of foreign referees after the match between Al-Hilal and Al-Nasr in the fifth round.
