Brynäs got off to a flying start in dominating the match in the first period.

But it was only after just over 17 minutes that the dividend came in the form of 1-0 through Jeadon Descheneau.

A strange goal, where the puck slid in via the skate.

Two minutes later it was time again.

Anton Rödin pushed the puck into an open goal from a couple of decimeters away where the puck lay waiting in front of the goal line in the middle of the goal area.

Self-goal

Brynäs was the better team also in the second period.

And it was also a Brynäs player in piety by John Nyberg who whipped in the puck.

Unfortunately for him, the puck ended up in his own goal.

Malmö's Adam Johnson was closest and the goal was credited.

The last period was only one and a half minutes old when Johan Alcén steered the puck for 3-1 to Brynäs.

- We're trying to get the puck in there.

That is where it happens, said Johan Alcén after the match.

Malmö took over the initiative after Brynäs' goal and when they got the chance in powerplay, the team was able to reduce to 2-3 through a hard shot from the blue line by Patrik Hersley, which a somewhat dizzying Victor Andrén in Brynäskassen could not counter.

He had the moment before got a puck straight on the mask without the game being called off.

Chased receipt

In the final minutes, Malmö came closer and closer to an equalizer when they put everything forward.

But the team did not come closer than Markus Lauridsen's pole shot when there were barely three minutes left.

Instead, Anton Rödin shot 4-2 in the open box after exactly 19 minutes of the last period.

Brynäs has played fewer matches than all teams and will have a packed schedule in the future.

- It's as it is.

We are a good team and now the hunt begins, said Johan Alcén.

KLIPP: "None of us are happy with the score so far", says Brynäs club director Michael Campese (December 28, 2020)
