Nilsson was one of the great heroes when Tre Kronor won World Cup gold in Denmark in 2018, and has been one of Ottawa for the past two seasons.

But there will be no game this season, as Nilsson has been suffering from concussion symptoms for a long time and is on the list of long-term injured.

There is also the experienced Slovak Marian Gaborik, who also accompanies the deal from Ottawa to Tampa Bay.

Gaborik has not played a match since the 2017/18 season.
