On Sunday, the jumpers were tested ahead of the German-Austrian ski jumping week's first competition in Oberstdorf.

The jumper Klemens Muranka was the only one in Poland's team who tested positive, but as his teammates are part of a sufficiently close-knit group, the whole team is excluded from the first competition.

Florian Stern, who is the competition leader in Oberstdorf, regrets the decision.

- To protect all other athletes, we had no other choice.

According to official decisions, we are not allowed to let the Polish team compete in Oberstdorf.

Can be with

If the Polish jumpers and leaders are tested negative later, it is possible to participate in the other three jump competitions this week.

However, there is then no chance for the jumpers to win the competition in total.

- We are still waiting for further tests.

Provided that these are negative, there is a chance for Poland to participate in the Fyrback Tournament, says Florian Stern.
