The two goalkeepers, Anton Hagvall in Alingsås and Simon Sejr in Lugi, started very convincingly with several nice saves.

The team was followed to 6-6 when Alingsås took over the baton and went up to 10-6 by countering successfully and forcing Lugi to a bad finish.

At half time, Alingsås had a 13-9 lead thanks to goalkeeper Anton Hagvall who had a save percentage of 65. In Lugi, Simon Sejr started strong but was more and more often outwitted and was replaced by Victor Hedberg in the final phase.

Looked safe

In the second half, Alingsås looked to be able to walk away and secure the victory quite controlled.

But Lugi played up and came to a better finish and approached the goal record and managed to reduce to 15-16.

Then the team scored pretty much every other goal and when there were seven minutes left, it was evenly 20-20.

Alingsås was hit in the second half by a decisive break when goalkeeper Anton Hagvall got a ball in the face and was replaced by Gustav Skagerling who did not hold as good a class.

Lugi took over

With 6.30 left, Lugi took the lead for the first time late in the match through Fredrik Olsson.

The last five were Lugi who had the upper hand and Alingsås who chased the equalizer.

And the last minute was dramatic.

Lugi timed out with 52 seconds left in a 24-23 position and ball possession.

And despite dropping the ball unnecessarily to Alingsås, the guests managed to ride out the storm.

Lugi won thanks to a combination of careful play with few technical errors and that Alingsås' "impossible" goalkeeper Anton Hagvall (59 save percent) was forced to leave.

Alingsås' coach was disappointed after the match.

- We burn several nice positions that we do not usually miss.
