Gothenburg is a clear jumbo in the SDHL and Brynäs was second in the series before Sunday's meeting.

After yesterday's finally convincing victory over HV71, the Gävle team had no problem at all to take a new three-pointer on away ice in Gothenburg.

It was certainly only one goal in the first period through the back talent Maja Nylén-Persson, but in the second Brynäs pulled away and the lead grew to 5-1 before the middle pace was over.

New series leader

Two-goal shooter in that period was Jaycee Gebhard who, among other things, had to end a beautiful attack that you can see here in the player above.

In the third period, Brynäs controlled the event and the final result was written to just 5-1.

Thus, Brynäs is the new league leader in SDHL - on the same points as Luleå but with a better goal difference and with two games more played.
