As so many times before, Canada together with Russia are the big favorites in this year's JVM.

Thus, most people had thought that the home nation would have an easy trip against the Germans when they entered the tournament during the night towards Sunday, Swedish time.

But that the numbers would be as large as 16-2, it may not be so many who had thought.

Before the match was over, Canada had a total of seven players who had scored at least three points or more.

The most points of all made the forward, Dylan Cozens, 19, drafted by Buffalo.

He accounted for three goals, three assists and was completely dominant in many changes on the ice.

Unlikely shooting percentage

Canada had "only" 44 shots on goal - but 16 of them went in goal.

Which gives the maple leaves a shoot percentage of 36.36%.

Canada came to the match with 20 outfielders exchanged and who got ice time.

Only three of them left the JVM premiere scoreless.

- Junior hockey is usually entertaining, but this is not entertaining.

This is not how it should be, says SVT Sports expert, Jonas Andersson about the class difference in the match.

SVT Sports' other expert, Mikael Renberg, fills in:

- This is not good for the junior WC.

It is not good for anyone that there will be such large numbers.

It is when it becomes like this that one can ask oneself whether this tournament should be played.

Germany lacks many players and would need all of them to even be able to lose against Canada with milder numbers, says Renberg.
