Leicester has provisionally defended its second place in the standings by managing to snatch the draw (2-2) against Manchester United on Saturday, for the 15th day which starts with the traditional English “Boxing Day”, on Boxing Day.

With this first draw of the season, Leicester are 28 points ahead of the Red Devils, three lengths behind Liverpool who will receive the penultimate Sunday, West Bromwich Albion.

Bruno Fernandez involved in half of MU's goals

Manchester United can thank, once again, Bruno Fernandes who, week after week, confirms that he is the wisest recruitment for too long years.

On Saturday again, after giving Marcus Rashford a goal ball in the 2nd minute, but spoiled by the English striker who did not frame his head, the Portuguese managed a deflection for the same Rashford twenty minutes later, materialized this time with a very sure foot (0-1, 23rd).

Fernandes also scored the goal of 2-1, after the entry of Pogba (53rd) allowed to restore possession to Manchester, abused at the start of the second act, while that of Cavani (74th), had given him back depth.

Four minutes later, the Urugayen had launched Fernandes perfectly from the outside of the foot, and the Portuguese had hit the mark with a cross shot at ground level (2-1, 79th).

Bruno fernandes breaks the frank lampard record in the #PL most goal contribution by a midfielder in a calendar year (31).

Immortal Jamie Vardy

Since joining the Premier League at the very end of the winter transfer window last season, Fernandes has been directly involved in more than half of his side's goals in the league, with 18 goals and 13 assists from 60 goals.

But that was unfortunately not enough to make Manchester happy, and Leicester can thank two of their most consistent players, goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel and goalscorer Jamie Vardy.

The first had notably made an exceptional parade in front of Rashford on the hour mark, with a very firm right hand (59th).

The second allowed his team to equalize even if his shot was straightened by Alex Tuanzebe in his cages (2-2, 85th).

Before that, it was Harvey Barnes who had already tied the teams with a perfect shot from 20 meters, after a ball lost by Bruno Fernandes 35 meters from his cages (1-1, 31st).

A result which therefore both frustrates and satisfies the two teams who will be new on the bridge Monday for Leicester, Tuesday for United.
