Tottenham's Son Heung-min is ranked 22nd in the annual World Men's Soccer Player Rankings by the British Daily Guardian.

Son Heung-min was ranked 22nd among the 100 best male soccer players in the world in 2020 by The Guardian.

The Guardian has been selecting 100 soccer players with the best performance every year since 2012, and was included for the first time as it climbed to 78th in 2018.

It is the only Asian player to be included in the 100 list.

In this year's ranking, 241 evaluators from 71 countries participated.

When they ranked 1st to 40th, each player was ranked by assigning points accordingly, but Son Heung-min received votes from 208 out of 241.

The Guardian said, "Son Heung-min is showing a hot start in the 2020-21 season and is heading toward the highest score in a season."

First place was Bayern Munich's Lewandowski, who showed a terrifying sense of goals in various competitions throughout the year.

It is the second time that Messina Ronaldo has not been ranked first after Modric in 2018.

Messi, who took first place last year, descended one step to second, and Ronaldo climbed from fourth to third.

Heung-min Son's best friend, teammate Harry Kane, was in 20th place.
