"There may well be criminal punishment"

An administrative protocol was drawn up against the famous Russian fighter Magomed Ismailov because of a fight with Vladimir Mineev at the AMC Fight Nights tournament in Moscow on Thursday under Article 20.1 of the Administrative Code (“Petty hooliganism”).

A source in law enforcement agencies told TASS about it.

“Got it?

It looks like yes.

Apparently, all this is connected with the scuffle, ”TASS quotes Ismailov.

However, according to the well-known lawyer Andrei Knyazev, the athletes “are unlikely to be in any danger,” unlike strangers who broke into the octagon and began to beat Mineeev.

The lawyer stressed that some of them may get a real term.

“If we talk about people from Ismailov's team who got involved in a fight, then this is group hooliganism, but each case will be considered separately - who struck what blow.

There may well be both criminal and administrative punishment.

Law enforcement agencies may have more questions about them.

They ran out in a crowd and struck ... Usually they write about such people in sentences: "out of a false understanding of the feeling of camaraderie."

If this is group hooliganism, then they face up to five years in prison under Article 213.

But here it is not the punishment itself that is important, it is important not to leave this behavior unpunished, even if it is only a fine.

And if it turns out that, conventionally, someone has a broken rib, then a real term may threaten, "- quotes Knyazev" Championship ".

Not going to impose sanctions on fighters and AMC Fight Nights.

The head of the promotion Kamil Hajiyev admitted that first of all he had questions to himself as the organizer of the tournament.

“First of all, we need to punish ourselves.

We, as organizers, must strengthen the safety regulations.

We are ready for sanctions.

We'll probably be fined.

But for more ... Everyone understands that there is no obvious crime here, "R-Sport quotes Gadzhiev.

Meanwhile, the former world boxing champion, and currently the State Duma deputy Nikolai Valuev believes that the promotion should be punished only if his involvement in the incident is proven.

“I don't know why this could have happened, but it has already happened.

This is not a sport.

Is it possible to justify starting a fight ahead of time, when you have not yet put gloves on?

Just a scuffle.

No one has chosen the methods that fall, including under criminal liability, depending on the injury inflicted.

Leave MMA alone.

There are individual athletes, people who purposefully play this card and, apparently, this will continue for a very long time, "- quotes the words of Valuev" Sport-Express ".

Meanwhile, the brother and coach of Magomed Ramazan denied information about the contractual nature of the scuffle and told what damage the fighters received.

According to the specialist, his brother's nose was broken, and Mineev received a slash.

The coach also stressed that the priority for Magomed, despite what had happened, remains a meeting with another famous Russian middleweight Alexander Shlemenko.

“Shlemenko and Mineev have different levels of recognition and media visibility.

Alexander has a very large audience.

Magomed had two heavy fights in a short period.

We expect to hold the fight closer to August, ”Ramazan Ismailov explained.

"There were freaks who beat Mineev on the back through the net"

In the world of Russian mixed martial arts, the brawl with the participation of Mineev and Ismailov caused different emotions.

So, Shlemenko, who in 2021 may meet with Magomed, considers Vladimir to be the culprit.

“I think it was a planned act from Mineev.

This fight leaves him, he has been running after Maga for a long time, calling him.

With his arrogant behavior, he simply provoked Ismailov into these actions, hoping that now the fight would be inevitable, ”the athlete explained.

At the same time, he called unacceptable the behavior of strangers who broke into the cage and began to "help Ismailov."

“Mineev wanted to provoke, but did not expect such a reaction.

I would not say that one person fought against 50, after all there were fewer people, plus some tried to separate.

Do not forget that Mineev organized the tournament, so there were people from both sides, ”added Shlemenko.

In turn, Bellator's representative Sergei Kharitonov, who was attacked in November by ex-UFC fighter Adam Yandiev, lamented that such situations are treated calmly in Russia.

“There was an opinion that it all looked somehow artificial.

They agreed among themselves, but did not agree with those who then ran into the cage and began to violently beat Mineev.

I haven't watched their last fight.

I know there was a draw.

I have no fierce interest in revenge.

Such situations do not paint our mixed martial arts.

People in Russia have been laughing at this for a long time.

What can I say, just wildness ... But it is normal with us, nothing new, ”the athlete said.

Another domestic MMA fighter, Albert Tumenov, doubted that the fight between Mineev and Ismailov was staged.

At the same time, the athlete agreed: colleagues tried to stir up interest in their possible revenge.

“I had to separate them and let them talk a little more with each other.

They spin the fight.

Nothing terrible happened, they had a fight and that's it, they want to fight anyway.

The main thing is that there were no serious injuries.

When such fights take place at major tournaments, chaos, for an ordinary layman it does not look very good.

For fans, this is only a joy.

As for the talk about a possible staging, it was clear: the guys tried to stir up interest with harsh statements.

But the subsequent fight was not feigned or staged.

The situation has simply got out of control, ”Tumenov complained.

And Vitaly Minakov said that there is no enmity between Ismailov and Mineev in ordinary life - they, as professionals, are trying to organize a show.

“They have unfinished business, there are excesses in the dialogues.

This whole situation and waving hands happened on emotions because of unnecessary words.

Again, it's not that dramatic, there is a certain element of the show here.

In the USA, of course, there is no such thing, but in our country they turn a blind eye to this.

The organizers should have some kind of code of a person and an athlete, ”the fighter emphasized.

At the same time, Minakov, who was also present in the arena at the time of the fight, also had to jump out into the octagon to protect Mineev.

“This chaos made it possible to be closer to the process.

I beat a dozen people, there were freaks who beat me on the back through the net.

At first I watched with irony what was happening at the "cell".

I perceived everything as an element of the show.

I knew that the organizers would cope, separate them, and that's it.

But then I saw this stream of marginal characters from the stands who ran to the octagon and jumped into it.

I realized that the organizers were failing.

I had to somehow intercede and shut down Volodya.

I understood that hardly anyone would jump on me.

It's good that everything is over, but this negatively affects the entire MMA industry in Russia, ”added Minakov.

Finally, the domestic UFC fighter Muslim Salikhov harshly criticized the incident on social networks.

He admitted that after this "show" he had a desire to end up with mixed martial arts.

“It's just turning into a circus on a global scale.

Russian MMA is becoming more and more disappointing, ”Salikhov wrote in a commentary on Magomed Abdulaev's Instagram post.

Chaos in the octagon and police intervention

The scuffle with the participation of Ismailov and Mineev took place on Thursday evening during the AMC Fight Nights: Winter Cup promotion, which is final in the outgoing year, at the Moscow Basket Hall.

At the end of one of the battles, the athletes entered the octagon and entered into a skirmish.

Magomed attacked his opponent after he hit him with a microphone.

Following the men who tried to separate the fighters, unauthorized persons entered the "cage" and began to beat Vladimir.

In particular, he received several kicks.

It was possible to restore order only thanks to the intervention of law enforcement officers.

After the scuffle, Mineev and Ismailov were taken to the police.

Meanwhile, the organizers of the tournament reported that the athletes refused medical assistance, although Magomed received a slight injury to his nose.

Representatives of both sides assessed the situation differently.

So, Ramazan Ismailov called the instigator of the conflict, who struck with a microphone, Mineev.

In turn, the coach of Vladimir Rasul Magomedaliev condemned the behavior of unknown men who jumped into the octagon "like jackals."
