It is reported that the total budget of the plan amounts to 1.644 trillion yen (about 104.1 billion yuan).

  According to reports, this budget plan was passed at the Tokyo Olympic Organizing Committee meeting on the 22nd.

On the basis of the 1.35 trillion yen budget for the organization before the postponement, a total of 294 billion yen was added to the budget.

  Because the Tokyo Olympics was postponed to next summer due to the impact of the new crown epidemic, this plan has increased a lot of funding.

Among them, the temporary facilities of the venues are complete, and the temporary removal and re-installation of prefabricated facilities will increase again by 73 billion yen.

  In terms of operations, the management and maintenance of the Olympic Village and storage fees for competition supplies increased by 54 billion yen to 193 billion yen.

The budget ceiling for the opening and closing ceremonies was increased by 3.5 billion yen to 16.5 billion yen.

  For this budget plan, the amount shared by all parties is 721 billion yen for the Tokyo Olympic Organizing Committee, 702 billion yen for Tokyo Metropolitan Government, and 221 billion yen for the Japanese government.

  As the contracts with multiple sponsors will expire at the end of December, the Tokyo Olympic Organizing Committee is continuing negotiations on the contract extension for one year.

Secretary-General Toshiro Muto said that he is actively communicating with all sponsors and will announce the results in the near future.
