Manchester United started the match strongly and pushed back Everton and Robin Olsen was out a few times.

Not least when he tried to dribble but lost control of the ball.

Edinson Cavani had the best chance to get a free kick from close range but with a slightly too bad angle.

Everton fought their way into the match and almost in the first half was Gylfi Sigurdsson who hit a free kick that Dean Henderson had to make an effort to save.

The first goal chance in the second half was given to United's Cavani who missed a good position from close range.

Dominated

Manchester United was the better team and dominated for most of the match.

Everton were not harmless but on several occasions they swamped good chances due to poor last passes.

With 88 minutes played, Robin Olsen could have brought this one home for Cavani as he charged up on the left, but his hooked ball went just a bit too high.

And in the very last minute, the 96th, Anthony Martial extended to 2-0 when Everton bet everything on an equalizer.

"Spurs" superior

Tottenham unexpectedly struggled against the injured seventh in the Championship, Stoke.

Despite a massive game and chance advantage and a lead goal already after 22 minutes by Gareth Bale, they did not manage to kill the match.

It was instead Stoke who scored the next goal in the 53rd minute when Jordan Thompson met a fine pass from Jacob Brown in a quick turnaround.

Stokes first finish of the match.

After Stokes' equalizer, the home team had a little more to say.

After 70 minutes, a couple of quick and successful challenges followed by a shot from just outside the penalty area by Ben Davies might have resulted in another goal for Andry Lonergan.

2-1 was the death knell for Stoke.

Eleven minutes later, Harry Kane knocked in 3-1 for Tottenham.

By then, the team had managed to get a goal by Heung-Min Son doubtfully ruled out for offside.
