Since November last year, Frida Karlsson has been sponsored by Petter Northug's ski goggles brand.

The 21-year-old Swedish star chooses to continue the collaboration, despite the Norwegian being sentenced to seven months in prison for speeding and drug possession, and had his driver's license revoked for life.

- I enjoy the brand and company Northug very much as partners.

They have really supported me in my ups and downs and now I feel that now is the time for me to give back and support when it is tough for them.

It (prison sentence) will not affect, says Frida Karlsson to TT.

"He's having a hard time"

The prison sentence does not change Karlsson's perception of Northug as an athlete, but on the other hand as a person.

- As an athlete, it does not affect anything.

But he has it tough as a person, he is in a tough period and it can be anyone.

It is required that he makes a change and he has been very careful to press for him to do so.
