Skåne, who competes in bantamweight (61 kilos), defeated the American Sijara Eubanks on points at a gala in Las Vegas on Sunday night Swedish time.

Good movement and an advantage in standing meant that Kianzad took home the even match via unanimous decision (29-28, 29-28, 29-28).

- I knew it would be tough, but I worked hard and would have been so angry at myself if I had lost, Kianzad says to the UFC's website.

- But it was not my best effort.

Ranked top 15

It was the Swede's third victory in her last four matches in the UFC.

Sijara Eubanks has two wins and two losses this year.

29-year-old Pannie Kianzad is ranked top 15 in the world and has previously told SVT Sport that the goal is to become world champion.

"Be a goal"

After the victory last night, she was on the same track.

- I am the first female UFC fighter from Sweden who has three straight victories.

It was a goal I wanted to achieve.

I am the best female bantam fighter in Europe and want to take over the world, one step at a time, says Kianzad.

Now she wants to nail the next match as soon as possible.

- I want to fight before April.

Maybe in February, that would be great.
