It has been a chaotic journey so far for the Junior Crowns in Edmonton.

It all started with a quarantine for four days which was then extended after two leaders in the Swedish squad tested positive for covid-19.

A few players have been released to train, while the rest remain in quarantine.

The captain's third championship

The plan is for Sweden to play its first match in the championship against the Czech Republic on December 26.

Now Tre Kronor has announced who has been given the confidence to wear a C on their shirt - and who will assist.

The team captain was Skellefteå's 19-year-old defender, Philip Broberg, who is doing his third JVM and who was involved in winning a bronze during last year's junior championship.

Assistants will be Tobias Björnfot (Djurgården / LA Kings), Victor Söderström (AIK) and Albin Sundsvik (Skellefteå).
