Tenri University's rugby club has been suspended for about a month since August when 62 members were infected with the new coronavirus, but after passing the Kansai league in 1st place, Osaka on the 19th.・ At Hanazono Rugby Stadium in Higashi-Osaka City, we played against Ryutsu Keizai University in the quarterfinals, the first match of the university championship.



In the 8th minute of the first half, Tenri University created a chance from the lineout, which was anxious, saying, "I couldn't breathe because of the suspension of activities," and took the first try.



After this, the attack was assembled mainly by international students from Tonga such as Siosaia Fifita of the center and Manasseh Habili of the wing, and in the first half alone, he took 6 tries and led 38-0.



In the second half, Tenri University did not loosen the attacking hand, showed a sense of stability even in set plays such as scrum, and took 6 tries and won 78 to 17.



Tenri University captain Yamato Matsuoka said, "We are improving the level of each match and finishing the set pieces. Our goal is to be the best in Japan, but first we want to prepare to win the match in front of us."



Tenri University will advance to the best four in three consecutive tournaments and will face Meiji University in the semi-finals on the 2nd of next month.
