The competition was interrupted for 20 minutes while Schmidhofer was taken care of.

Later on Friday, reports came from the Austrian media that it is now clear that the 31-year-old, who as recently as 2017 took World Cup gold in Super-G, will miss the rest of the season.

Kronen Zeitung writes that the Austrian Ski Federation reports that the preliminary investigation revealed suspicions that a front cruciate ligament and a ligament in the left knee are damaged.
