Soccer: Could Maradona's death be prevented?
The lawsuit of
Magalí Alejandra Gil
, 25, has been successful.
The young woman assures that two years ago her biological mother assured her that
Diego Armando Maradona is her father
, a circumstance that has had her
24 months
trying to obtain a paternity test.
This test seems to be possible soon thanks to the decision of the Argentine Justice to avoid the incineration of the ex-footballer's body until this legal matter is resolved.
According to '
Clarín
', Magalí was given up for adoption as soon as she was born and two years ago she met her mother, who explained her alleged relationship with Maradona.
In case the analysis is positive, the young woman would become the sixth (recognized) heir of the '10' along with
Dalma, Giannina, Diego Jr, Jana and Diego Fernando
.
"Given the death of Mr. Maradona on November 25, 2020, a fact of public knowledge that does not require his accreditation in this instance, Ms. Gil requests that the histocompatibility study be carried out in advance evidence and that for this purpose the acting Prosecutor's Office submits the
DNA sample
obtained from the action herein ", explains the resolution of the National Court of First Instance in Civil No. 27 of Buenos Aires.

In addition to Magalí's lawsuit, the Argentine Justice has found
several more paternity lawsuits by citizens
who claim to be children of the former world champion and who, at least for the moment, have managed to prevent the body from being cremated, just as the family wishes.
