  China News Service, December 17th. On the 16th local time, F1 (Formula One World Championship) Toro Rosso announced that Japanese driver Yuyi Kakuda will join the team next year.

Kakuda Yuyi, 20, will also become the first post-00 driver in F1 history.

  Kakuda Yuyi competed in F2 this season and won a total of 3 championships, 4 pole positions and 7 podiums, and finally ranked third in the 2020 F2 season.

  Kakuda Yuyi tested the Toro Rosso two years ago at the Imola circuit in October this year, and also participated in the rookie test at the Yas Marina circuit not long ago.

  It is worth mentioning that Kakuda Yuki will become the 18th Japanese driver in F1 history and the first since Kobayashi Kamui in 2014.
