Before the 2005-2006 season, Frölunda's star goalkeeper Henrik Lundqvist moved to the USA and New York Rangers.

After 15 seasons, he was bought out in the autumn from the remaining contract period and instead the 38-year-old moved a bit south to play this season with Washington.

Unexpected for Hagelin

Thursday's announcement that he can not play came unexpectedly for the new teammate in Capitals, Carl Hagelin.

- It feels ruggedly heavy.

He was so incredibly charged before this adventure.

Above all, you think of him and the family and hope everything will be fine quickly, Hagelin tells Sportbladet.

Carl Hagelin further tells Sportbladet that Lundqvist was expected to Washington to train.

Now it will not be so and both Hagelin and Niklas Bäckström, also in Washington, point out that the most important thing is that he gets well soon.
