In December 2019, the international anti-doping organization Wada chose to suspend Russian sports and the Russian anti-doping organization Rusada for four years.

Rusada appealed to the sports arbitration court Cas, which today announced that the sentence will be halved from four to two years.

After today's sprint in Hochfilzen, Sebastian Samuelsson was asked about the decision.

The biathlon star has been an ardent critic of Russia after repeated doping incidents.

- It's a little better than nothing, I was about to say.

I have not read the decision yet.

But you reduce from four years to two - I do not know why, says Samuelsson to SVT Sport

- You have to try to trust that those who are here are clean.

They are not riding so well right now, it's almost half nice.
