Sturla Holm Lägreid is without a doubt the season's big sensation in the biathlon tracks so far.

The 23-year-old, who has only ridden four World Cup races and is the best at ten, surprisingly won the premiere race in Kontiolahti a couple of weeks ago.

Norwegian dominance

Today he showed that it was not a one-time offense.

In today's sprint in Hochfilzen, he won again, 7.9 seconds ahead of compatriot Johannes Dale, who just like Lägreid shot full.

And the Norwegians totally dominated.

The first four in the results list were Norwegians, with Johannes Thingnes Bö third and Vetle Sjåstad Christiansen fourth.

"Great team effort"

Best non-Norwegian was Sebastian Samuelsson, who after a flawless shooting finished fifth, 44.9 behind Lägreid.

Martin Ponsiluoma, who blocked a shot, also finished in the top ten when he went into ninth place.

- Great team effort.

It's just that Norway is doing so incredibly well today, says SVT Sports expert Helena Ekholm.

- It is not the case that Sweden rides badly, but it is Norway that rides so enormously well.

They ride better than everyone else, says Ekholm.
