Candidate Cheol-won Choi was supported by 62 out of 82 delegates who participated in the vote, and was elected president of the Korea Ice Hockey Association, greatly surpassing candidate Jeon Young-deok.



SK President-elect Choi Cheol-won, the cousin of SK Chairman Choi Tae-won, was the person who struck a cargo regiment driver with a baseball bat 10 years ago and handed over 20 million won as a ‘match’ to the person who caused a stir.

Because of this, it has been controversial since running for the election, but the Association's Election Commission approved the candidate registration through legal advice and won the election with overwhelming support.



Choe-elect will be officially inaugurated as the chairman if he is approved by the Korean Sports Association by next month.
