The champion of Russia in the "Spartak", and now the player of "Ajax" Quincy Promes was arrested on suspicion of attacking a man with the use of cold weapons.
According to the Dutch media, the incident occurred at a family party back in July - a football player attacked one of his relatives, inflicting stab and cut wounds on him.
In particular, it was noted that he was an athlete who caused him a serious knee injury.
The injured man reported the incident to the police only a month ago.
After the check, the law enforcement officers decided to arrest the player and put him in a pre-trial detention center.
Promes can face up to four years in prison.
