Sheikh Rashid bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, President of the Football Association, signed a cooperation agreement with his Israeli counterpart, Oren Hassoun, yesterday, at the headquarters of the Football Association in Dubai, in the presence of the President of the International Football Association, Gianni Infantino, within the framework of the Football Association strengthening relations with various national federations in the world , Which aims to develop the football system and benefit from expertise to raise the technical, administrative and organizational level of the various football tournaments, and to strengthen joint cooperation between the two countries in all sectors.

In a speech delivered during the signing ceremony, Sheikh Rashid bin Humaid Al Nuaimi said: “We are happy to sign the bilateral agreement with the Israeli Federation, in an important step to strengthen relations between the two countries at the sporting level, as the UAE is working to strengthen its relations with various countries of the world.”

He added, "Football is the language of peace, tolerance and love, and this is what we want the world to see through this agreement, and we will work with the Israeli Football Association to make this agreement a success."

On the other hand, FIFA President Gianni Infantino praised this agreement, and said: “Today is a historic and unprecedented day, and it is considered one of the most important moments of football and its history. The UAE and Israeli federations on that giant step ».

Infantino indicated that he witnessed the peace agreement in the White House between the UAE and Israel, and said: “I felt that a new history is being written, and here I see myself that we are living the same history, and this is the first step to building a new relationship between two great and great countries in football.”
