Last week, Brynäs postponed all its matches in the SHL and paused the business due to several confirmed cases of covid-19 in the association.

On Tuesday, a home match against Leksand is expected for the league runner-up and the Gävle team is ready for play - but it will be without head coach Peter Andersson in the box.

"It's serious"

He has namely become ill in covid-19, confirms the team's assistant coach Viktor Stråhle, for GD.

- It is not the case that he has problems with breathing, but he is really ill.

It's tough for him now.

The most important thing is that he gets well.

You have to have respect for this, it is serious, says Stråhle.

Brynäs is last in the SHL with 16 recorded points in 18 games played.

The meeting with Leksand is the start of the three straight home matches that Brynäs has left to play before the Christmas break.

HV71 and Örebro will also visit Gävle this week.
