Schalke gives away victory in injury time

Augsburg quickly took the lead after the resumption by an own goal from Suat Serdar.

After the break, Benito Raman and Nassim Boujellab led the visitors 1-2 and the home team ended up with ten men due to a second yellow card for Florian Niederlechner.

Schalke seemed on his way to the first victory of the season, but in injury time the formation from Gelsenkirchen still gave up the three points through a goal by Marco Richter.

Due to the draw, Schalke remains at the bottom of the league in the Bundesliga with only four points.

'Die Königsblauen' have been waiting for a competition victory since 17 January.

Later that day, Bayer Leverkusen comes into action at home against 1899 Hoffenheim (kick-off at 6 p.m.).

With a victory, the team of coach Peter Bosz takes over the lead from Bayern Munich.
