Tomoyuki Matsuda, a leading male pistol in shooting who has won two world championships and participated in the Olympics for three consecutive tournaments, has announced his intention to retire from active duty before next year's Tokyo tournament. I found out that I was telling the association.

Matsuda started shooting after being hired by the Kanagawa Prefectural Police Headquarters, and won two crowns in the "Men's 50m Pistol" and "Men's Air Pistol" at the 2010 World Championships, and for three years. In the previous World Cup Final "Men's 10m Air Pistol", he has continued to play an active role as a leading figure in Japan, setting a new world record.

He has participated in the Olympic Games three times in a row until the last Rio de Janeiro Games, and his record so far was the highest in the Beijing Games in 8th place.

For the Tokyo Olympics, I aimed to participate in the 4th consecutive tournament and win medals.

Matsuda will turn 45 on the 12th, but according to the people concerned, he said, "I want young people to do their best at the Tokyo Olympics," and instead of aiming for the Tokyo Olympics, which was postponed for one year, he is active against the Japan Rifle Association of Japan. It means that he was informing him of his intention to retire.
