The announcement issued on the 11th stated that "in order to ensure a good event experience for the Wuhan Marathon, the organizing committee has carefully studied various factors and decided not to hold the 2020 Wuhan Marathon."
According to the announcement, the organizing committee will start refunding the winning runners from today. For runners who win the 2020 Wuhan Marathon, their qualifications and winning projects will be retained until the 2021 Wuhan Marathon.
The Wuhan Marathon, which has been called the "most beautiful track" by many runners, is designed to include "one city, two rivers, three towns, four bridges and five lakes", and attracts marathon enthusiasts from all over the world every year.
