It was at the end of the second period that an upset Joel Lundqvist tried to chase Emil Johansson after a wrestling match with the HV player behind goal.

In the hunt, he pushed the lineman Rickard Nilsson who lost his balance.

Lundqvist fell on the ice in the situation with Emil Johansson and received several pushes from the opponent.

- I was really pissed, it was a dangerous situation and I wanted to question what he was doing.

He felled me by hooking me up and pulling my legs away so I fell headlong into the ice, says Joel Lundqvist to Sportbladet.

He perceived the situation differently than what the TV pictures showed.

- I did not see the referee at all, I reached out my hand to grab the HV71 player and then the referee stepped in from the side in front of me and stopped.

I pulled my hand up in front of me to slow down and it looked like I was pushing him.

It was a merger and I was very surprised by what happened, says Lundqvist.

SVT Sports expert Jonas Andersson has watched the event several times.

- The first time I saw it, I thought "Oh shit" but then I see how Lundqvist uses the referee to raise himself to the HV player he wants.

There was no intention to push the judge, Andersson says.

Joel Lundqvist did not receive a penalty on the ice but has subsequently reported to the disciplinary committee and risks suspension and or a fine.
