It was during training yesterday in Val d'Isere that Alexander Köll went too straight to a spot on the slopes and crashed into the net.

In connection with the crash, he got one knee in his mouth and knocked out three teeth.

- The teeth are temporarily fixed, we did that yesterday.

Otherwise, he is generally generally bruised and may feel that he has just been run over by a train, says Swedish speed trainer Ulf Emilsson to SVT Sport.

Köll had intended to train today but eventually chose to give up.

- He was out for inspection today and had probably intended to go but realized that it is better to save a little, says Emilsson.

Goal top 30

At present, it has not been decided whether Köll will drive Saturday's super-G after the crash.

- It will probably be decided whether he drives or not only tomorrow.

On the starting line tomorrow is at least Felix Monsén who, just like Köll, will make his competition premiere.

In addition to super-G, sturgeon races are also waiting for Sunday in Val d'Isere.

Emilsson says that both Köll and Monsén looked good in training.

- In training it has gone very well, but training is one thing.

It's a little different in competition.

What is the goal this season for the champions?

- The goal is for us to be in the top 30 as soon as possible, then you have to take it a bit from there.
