The 34-year-old Canadian Jonathan Sigalet, who left Frölunda before last season, returns to the Gothenburg club where he was assistant team captain during the Swedish Championship gold year 2018-19.

Frölunda takes over the contract from Brynäs, which was intended as his last destination in his career.

- We live on borrowed time with Theodor (Lennström), we do not know when he will go (to Edmonton, which he is on loan from, please note).

We wanted another hill and then this opportunity arose.

A favorable solution, financially speaking, that works for us in these times.

And thanks to Brynäs who contributed to a smooth process.

We already know "Sigga" and know what he can contribute and are very pleased that he returns, says Frölunda's sports manager Fredrik Sjöström on the club's website.

"Must really enjoy"

Sigalet, who had a hard time getting playing time in Brynäs, is looking forward to returning to the club where, in addition to a Swedish Championship gold, he also won two CHL titles.

- I will do what I should and will really enjoy my last months in my career, he says.
