The name of Nagoya Dome, the home of professional baseball and Chunichi, has been acquired by a major local pharmaceutical manufacturer, and the name will be changed to "Vantelin Dome Nagoya" from next month.

This was announced on the 10th by Nagoya Dome and Kowa, a major pharmaceutical manufacturer headquartered in Nagoya, at a press conference at a hotel in Nagoya.

According to this, the Kowa side has been considering acquiring the naming rights of Nagoya Dome from this summer in order to raise the name recognition of the corporate brand, and as a result of continuing discussions with the Nagoya Dome side, it has been agreed recently.

The contract period is 5 years and the name of the stadium will be changed to "Vantelin Dome Nagoya" from the 1st of next month.

Kowa's managing director, Takuhiro Hayakawa, who acquired the naming rights, said, "As a company that has been rooted in the local community, we will continue to work hard and contribute to the revitalization of the region."
