Stekheta Rögle started the scoring against Skellefteå after 11 minutes when Erik Andersson patted the return on a shot from Nils Höglander who pushed up the puck on the right side.

The shot went over the left shoulder unreachable for Arvid Söderblom in Skellefteåkassen.

It happened after a strong introduction by the guests that disturbed the league leader.

Rögle took over most of the game for the rest of the first period, but as the break approached, Skellefteå stepped forward and established some pressure.

But team captain Oscar Möller received a match penalty at the end of the period when he hit the club in Moritz Seiders wrote in a tight situation at the rim.

It was Skellefteå's fourth match penalty in the last five matches and perhaps a morale drop for the rest of the match.

The dream goal

The second period started with an open game when the team for a period played four against four.

Rögle was the most alert and came up with a couple of really good chances.

The closest was Brady Ferguson, who almost managed to coax the puck past a tossing Söderblom.

But it was Skellefteå who scored the next goal when Andreas Wingerli lifted in 1-1 after good interaction with Jesper Frödén.

But that joy did not last long for the guests when Eric Gelinas thundered in 2-1 from the blue line just a minute and a half later.

Three on three

Two minutes later it was time for Röglemål again.

And what a goal then!

Nils Höglander dribbled through the opposing defense and lifted in 3-1 between his own legs.

Another short while later, Erlen Lesund made it 4-1 on a shot from outside.

Three goals in the course of 3.17.

At the beginning of the last period, Simon Ryfors extended Rögle's lead to 5-1 and lowered all Skellefteå's possible points hopes.
